Native to California Coast
I am a fourth-year landscape architecture major minoring in Sustainable Environments at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
Growing up on the California Coast has made these furry friends some of my favorite parts of going to the beach. I love watching them splash around, swim with their friends, and take a rest break in the sun! It's a shame these beautiful animals are fighting to survive, and the impacts of climate change on the ocean is making it harder for them to grow their populations after being hunted for their fur in the 1900s. The least I can do as a student is to raise awareness advocating for the rehabilitation of southern sea otters as well as ways our everyday actions can help save sea otters!
